Healers are arguably the most critical and responsible members of a group, capable of compensating for others' errors and often expected to pull absent-minded allies out of the fire. In PvE, healers are mostly focused on the tank(s), but must do their best to keep all members of the group alive. Healers are often credited (rightly or wrongly) for the success or failure of a group. Healers must anticipate incoming damage and balance the protection of their allies with their finite supply of mana. The role often requires quick reaction time and steady nerves.

The role of a healer in the group is to heal others when they are hurt or take damage, thus keeping party members alive in order to tank or kill the enemies. Despite the lack of use for their taunting abilities, tanking specs are often still effective in PvP, trading sheer healing and damage output for resilience and staying power. Tanks are less common in PvP, but can be extremely effective as flag carriers and defenders. Small groups will have a single tank, while larger groups may have several, often switching targets mid-fight. Good tanks can make a very hard dungeon seem easy. Tanks are often the leaders of the group, the first ones into a fight and the last ones out. In PvE, a tank's job is to keep the monster's threat or attention on them, preventing them from attacking others in the group, who are often less armored and less well-suited to taking damage. Tanks usually have high health, high armor, and often high Avoidance. Protection warriors, should be much better then they are but some things are bugged and they take more damage then their supposed too, so finding a raid that will invite you as prot warr could get hard, specially if they aim for LK, but for everything other then LK they are very fun to play, a lot of abilities to help them out of any situation that might happend. The role of a tank in the group is to take damage for the group, protecting the others from being attacked. But they have the biggest single target threat in game and alot of good talents to handle heavy magical damage. But once you manage them I think (and this is my opinion) They are the most solid tank in game.ĭK tanks are very viable as well but you must have a runestrike macro and AoE threat can be hard to manage sometimes.

Paladins - have a slight advantage because of (the most overpowered passive in game) ardent defender, great damage reduction combined with 2 short cooldown taunts helps the class and makes it very noob friendly.įeral Druids are damn near immortal IF played right, and you will need more practice then a paladin tank. Been playing Tank on this server since 2010, all classes, farmed LoD couple of hundred times with a lot of different classes and this is what I think
